How long it would take to Switch over our Alarm Monitoring to Rapid Response?
1. Tell us the Make and Model of your Existing Alarm
- * Typically the manufacturer's name will be located on the keypad or control panel.
- * If you cannot determine the make and model of your existing alarm, Email a picture of your keypad to admin@rapidresponse.org.nz
- * Or simply call us to speak to one of our Customer Service Reps.
2. Current Security Provider
- * Check your existing monitoring contract to determine if your contract period has ended. A typical contract period is 1 - 3 years.
- * Determine if you are paying your monitoring bill monthly, quarterly or annually. Check the date you paid up until and how the payment is being made.
- * Email the information to admin@rapidresponse.org.nz or simply call us to speak to one of our Customer Service Reps.
- Our sign up process is easy, there are no credit checks, and we don't charge you until your account is active. Once we have the necessary information to activate your account, we'll verify that your alarm system is communicating with our monitoring Station, and you're set. Also, once your account is activated, you have a full 30 days to try it risk free. During that time you may cancel for any reason.

We have had success making our systems compatible with VoIP phone service, however, we will not guarantee that this form of alarm communication will work all the time. Don't take a chance relying on VoIP phone service with your home alarm system. Rest easy by choosing to install a Landline Communicator as a back-up to your VoIP phone service for times that VoIP does fail.
Will the security system work if there is a loss of power?
Yes. Our Security Systems are equipped with a battery back-up that will run the alarm system for several hours.
